Crowne Plaza Dubai welcomes its new General Manager!
James Young has been appointed General Manager of the Crowne Plaza Dubai. He transfers from the Crowne Plaza Abu Dhabi, where he is currently General Manager.
Originally from London, James has over twenty years experience in the industry and started his career at the InterContinental Park Lane. Since then, he has worked in several different countries in Europe and the Middle East in a variety of roles. In 2004, he joined the Crowne Plaza Dubai as Hotel Manager before moving to Abu Dhabi to take up his first General Manager position in 2006.
During his time in Abu Dhabi, the Hotel has won several awards, including a 5 star rating from the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority and the IHG award for developing people in 2009. In 2010, two, highly successful, new restaurants were opened, Cho Gao and SpaccaNapoli.
Commenting on his new role James says; "I am both delighted and proud to return to the Crowne Plaza Dubai, a Hotel with an outstanding group of colleagues and a place in the history of Dubai. I look forward to working with our Owners, Pearl Azure Hotel Management LLC, and IHG on the exciting plans to take the Hotel forward."
